Election year in Tantramar.. will you vote out Mayor Andrew "Stolen Lands" Black in Tantramar? Who will be the candidates of popular choice? With an average age of 51 in the Municipality according to their expert consultants is there a more representative voice than Andrew Black? Will a younger and more dynamic candidate put forth their name for the job of Mayor? Is it time for a change in the direction and vision for the region? Time will tell... but if you've ever considered running as a candidate what are you waiting for? A new set of elected officials could change the vibe of this place immensely... Andrew Black has squandered his time as Mayor, left no legacy project whatsoever, and has had more than enough time to prove himself to be an exceptional leader with a vision--he has failed in his efforts and Black has proven himself to be a rather unimpressive, scattered and distracted networker and wanna-be bureaucrat who will say and do as he is told to do.. that's not leadership.. that's obediance.. weakness. By jet-setting to different locations around the globe to schmooze Black made a conscious decision not to be someone who is terribly interested in local affairs and development of this region and instead aspired to engage mostly in virtue signalling and performative theatre as a local politician. Black's true goals as an elected Mayor should more effectively have been the ongoing informal engagement with the locals first and foremost and the invested taxpayers and businesses with a stake in the region. Black's apparent contempt for capitalism, free enterprise, the taxpayers and his total lack of concern for the massive cost of living increase in the past decade resulting in difficulty for elderly and young adults attempting to establish themselves in work and with homes here has been nothing short of negligent, uninspiring and rudderless. Unless a "leader" has a clear idea of what a town needs to be successful and attractive that "so-called leader" will fail at their mission as Mayor in Tantramar. Frankly its been embarrassing to witness Black's attempt to grow the region... especially Black's hyper-focus on "densification" and climate change propaganda to the detriment of creating real projects like new neighbourhoods and the youth's long overdue Tantramar Skate Park Project, to name but a few.
Black's obediant "coviet" era will not soon be forgotten as a dark chapter in the history of the region.
Finally... for someone so concerned about his "carbon footprint" and his endless waffling about and advocating for "net zero" [a cult of nonsense] Andrew Black has gone out of his way to travel a lot .. and yes we noticed Andrew... far too many trips overseas for nothing.. other than to say you went there and did that.
"Tantramar University City" .. its a great place that will become even greater and blossom mightily under the right priorities and clear leadership.
