The answer to a housing supply problem is to build more housing stock.. its not complicated.. its called supply and demand.. economics.. and no, the government does not need to be involved in the process.. what government needs to do is get out of the way of builders and tradesman and investors.. and stop micromanaging the process, over-charging on fees, taxation, and permitting.. our society should not be OK with bureaucrats and technocrats and "planners" constantly interferring with the creation of the increased stock of single family homes for Canadian buyers.
