CHRISTIANITY DEFIED: Understanding the Divine Scapegoat

This audio presents a full reading by the author of Ch. 18, The Divine Scapegoat, from Not in His Image (2006). In keeping with the purpose of this channel, JLL will preview topics and questions under discussion in the 12 Courses and 3 Vocations offered on nemeta.org, the Sophianic School of Arts and Sciences.

Some material (talks and texts) on nemeta.org is available only to the staff of student-teachers who contribute materially and creatively to maintain the School. Other material -- a vast amount, actually -- is freely accessible to guests and visitors wo may enjoy exploring the campus. Details of staff participation and free guest status can be found here: https://nemeta.org/membership-account...

Illustration: Nemeta means "sacred groves". The YT channel dedicated to the School takes for is signatory icon the image of a section of a banyan tree. Older. mature banyan trees exhibit the astonishing spread of aerial prop roots, limbs of the tree that drop down to earth and form trunks. Some banyans spread laterally over a wide area. The growth from a single mother trunk can come to resemble a grove of trees, with every trunk connected directly or indirectly to the primary one. The topology of this massive root system inspired the name of the hierarchical computer network operating system "Banyan VINES".

It also stands as the living symbol of the watchword of nemeta.org" "Teach as you learn." The branches spreading from the mother trunk that drop down to root and become trunks in their own right represent the staff of the Sophianic School, student-teachers who exemplify the Maitreya Process. Nemata is the unique modern iteration of the ancient Mystery Schools dedicated to the wisdom goddess Sophia, the divine presence materially immanent in the earth, the home planet.
