The passing this year at only 65 of Jim Goad an American writer, journalist, father, husband and cultural icon.. was a shocking loss to those who valued his commentary .. he is still lingering in our minds and hearts with his desire to be heard and be edgy and wickedly relevant and he won't be forgotten... in fact, he is still being discovered by new open and curious and bright minds...

Jim Goad's commentary on "peckerwood" meaning "a fine reliable white man" comes to us as a term of endearment and made me chuckle... it is a reminder not to take culture and language or yourself too seriously... he was after all a joyful disruptor.. and if you're like me you know we need more of those in our society, not less of them.. so today I want to celebrate the life of Jim Goad and his masterful approach to our language with my own term of endearment for the gay man.. the vaginaphobe.. to remind them not everyone is homophobic just because they don't embrace and celebrate with you your private sex life sodomy fetishes and lifestyle choices. Take to heart the advice of an elder when its given with love... YOU are beautiful.. just exactly the way God made you... the choice to live a gay lifestyle which does not naturally create a child is a vaginaphobic and unfruitful existence. Don't go FOMO dudes.. wink wink...
