A Toast to Rima Azar's $88,080 GoFundMe Story.. Mount Allison University Professor / Blogger

"I hope that, as readers, you will recognize yourself, or a facet of yourself, in some of the posts or questions raised. You may agree or disagree. Regardless, I hope you will enjoy and come back to visit again. I may address stories about local affairs, most likely, or about national and even international topics (when they may have an impact on our lives). Matters of interest to “Bambi” simply and selfishly ?. Welcome to you, whether you will read silently or provide any comment to fuel an enriching discussion!" - Rima Azar aka Bambi on Campus

[just a further note about Bambi's blog.. I do read her work but I no longer leave commentary as Ms. Azar has chosen not to publish some of my comments in the past year.. unhelpful to say the least.. and somewhat troubling to be honest.]

Rima Azar Mount Allison University - Another Canadian professor cancelled, but she’s fighting back [ From the Archives ]

May 10, 2021

A handful of Mount Allison University students called on the administration to reprimand Professor Rima Azar because Dr. Azar expressed some common sense opinions about race and gender on her personal blog. Instead of reminding these students that heterodoxy is welcome in the academic environment, Mount Allison University investigated and suspended Dr. Azar. But Dr. Azar isn’t succumbing to the woke mob. She’s fighting back. True North fellow Lindsay Shepherd has more.

Congratulations to Lindsay Shepherd on the birth of baby #3 "Clover" - the happy news was reported by her man Cosmin on X.

(3) Cosmin Dzsurdzsa on X: "In other news, our third kiddo arrived. This beauty is named Clover! 💖 https://t.co/Z31NO1XLG6" / X

According to Rumi, the 13th-century Sufi mystic and poet, “the cure for pain is pain”. Christian Corbet’s autobiography is a powerful testimony of how pain can be faced, transformed into beauty through creativity, and generously shared. In his creative masterpiece of memoir, we accompany his inner child in a flash-back into a heart-breaking journey of child and youth maltreatment. From this pain, we see the seeds of how he rose to thrive like a phoenix of resilience, filled with talent and humanity. French Neuropsychiatrist Boris Cyrulnik considers resilience as the ability to be “born from one’s own pain”. With his lifetime commitment to artistic excellence, and now through his memoir’s elegantly rhyming poems, Christian Corbet teaches us a lesson of healing, self-compassion, growth, hope, and beauty. Thank you!

Because I've been in this town since 2010 I am able to recall and advise you dear readers that there have been on campus in the past groups of students promoting the liberty ideals.. and it is still a wonderful and worthwhile effort to pursue in education and in life skills.....  If you are a liberty-minded thinker you might benefit from promoting this advocacy to young and old students in 2025.
