Before our most recent poster campaign we (as always) made a very clear and explicit policy to not cover up or tear down any leftist posters. Rather than hinder the left’s ability to express themselves, part of our mission is to ensure that the anti-white ideas that dominate our campuses are heard loud and clear.
For example, look at these posters by the Revolutionary Student Movement, especially the one on the right. The poster calls to “decolonize turtle island” and says that they are “anti-settler colonialist”. The image shows the monopoly man (who, of course, is white) identified as a “settler bourgeoise” and another character, who is non-white, identified as a “comprador bourgeoise”. Both of them are being chased out of Canada.
The term “settler colonialism” refers to the phenomenon whereby “a foreign people move into a region”. The term “comprador” is a native who serves a foreign power. It’s synonymous with “traitor”.
As we have argued in the past, “decolonization” is call for the ethnocide of european culture, if not the physical removal of European people. “Turtle island” refers to North America.
If expressions of non-white nationalism and non-white perspectives on identity politics are allowed on our campuses, and in our society at large, then European nationalism should be allowed as well! Identity politics is the politics of our era and Europeans should be allowed as seat at the table. The current arrangement is completely hypocritical.
