Another big loss for the downtown scene after Mel's Tearoom closed after its 77 year run just last year.... these changes to the landscape are glaring.  Add the recent fire and demolition of "Joey's" just up the street on York Street and you've got a real transformation taking place that's tragic for locals.

Some things remain however... wealthy and powerful people becoming more wealthy and more powerful.  One wonders how long before a World Economic Flag [WEF] flies over the town.
