Much has been written about the decision and push to remove this statue .. in the end ... weak politicians capitulated to the mob of shrill, outraged, angry, vocal- minority "social justice windbag" agitators who gleefully had their way and Edward was removed from his public space near the Via Rail Train Station in downtown Halifax where he greeted many travellers and visitors in his time.. I think that's a very unfortunate outcome for all of us who are Eurocanadians.
Art and tradition and culture and beauty and history matter.... to us. I'm not OK with people erasing EuroCanadian history as though it must be looked on in shame.
