Taking Accusations seriously - Jordan Peterson and Rima Azar @ Mount Allison University

This clip is an extract from a conversation between Professor Jordan Peterson and Dr. Rima Azar where they discuss the importance of free speech and what happened with the recent controversy surrounding her blog which led to her suspension at Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick. The events largely stem from students at her university who searched out her personal blog and made complaints to various student organisations. Cancel Culture in action. The threshold of taking accusations seriously - a topic Jordan Peterson himself has also experienced. A quote from Professor Peterson on the matter: "I've dealt with ethics boards at my own university, and they have a policy that every complaint should be investigated thoroughly. I'm not very fond of that policy particularly, because there are a lot of people who cause a fair bit of trouble for absolutely no reason. It seems to me that complaints need to pass something approximating a reasonable threshold before they're dealt with." Rima Azar is a Psychology Professor at Mount Allison University who will not be teaching at the university for the fall term following an investigation into complaints, from the University Student Union, that some posts on her personal blog were racist and discriminatory. Dr. Rima Azar claims to be a victim of Cancel Culture due to her writings in Bambi Afkar Blog. She has started a go fund me page to help pay her legal fees through this dispute. 1. Thanks for the update, just heard from Shawn, CIN got their site wiped out. Wonder if Lena Trudeau and the former Obama digital teams brought over to CSIS after Trump had a hand in that. Let my social media go dormant since May when I sent in ATIP to DFAIT. WEF seems to have a rat's nest in that department these days. What strange days. Take Care, Dan C.
