I have lived in many cities and travelled to most cities in all of Canada and I'd say that: 1. Metro Moncton has a population of 144,000 so it is easily a city, and not a tiny town. 2. Public Transport is great here but you can get around on foot if you live and work downtown 3. Job demand in most sectors are way up, we don't have nearly enough skilled workers for most of our industries, it is certainly Not restricted to the three you named. 4. We have high speed internet, even in rural areas, Rogers covers huge parts of those. 5. Average cost of a home is around 250k, but yeah, still affordable From someone who lives here, I'd say the real downsides are: 1. Insanely low vacancy rates 2. Rising costs of homes 3. Homelessness 4. Double property taxes for secondary homes or rental units 5. Low wages
