Rest in Peace John Crawford 1951-2023

After a brief illness, on March 14, 2023, we all said a very sad goodbye to John Crawford. John was a character and enjoyed the character in others. He loved an adventure and was keen to discover new things. He enjoyed the outdoors and shared it with many like-minded friends. He took pleasure in being among the first dare-devils to test thin ice on the waterfowl park, in a seemingly annual tradition. He was a soulful, quiet man who nurtured his inner person. He also enjoyed striking up a conversation with newcomers to town or young Mount A students. He was interested in people and consequently gathered a huge collection of friends of all ages.
John has been cremated. There will not be any visitation or funeral arrangements. Instead he has asked that a celebration of life be held at Fort Beausejour on a sunny day this summer (TBA). Bring a picnic lunch, fly a kite, scramble up the ramparts….go for a walk, enjoy the view, maybe share a story or two. Please send your email address or text number to this link johnspicnic@gmail.com if you’d like to be notified when the date is set. If so desired, donations in John's memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.
John is on a new adventure now. We give him all our love and thank him for a very good life.
We welcome you to share your memories here, or, to view John's full obituary, to leave a condolence message for the family, make a memorial donation, and for more information, please visit:
