Nine years of "pride" in
a small university town
on the Eastcoast...
Saturday sees the return
of "Pride" on campus and
in town gathering 2023...
check with MASU for updates
and weather cancellation etc.
This week sees
the addition of a plaque for
Marilyn Lerch and two others...
to the Sackville Arts Wall
in Indiana, USA..
Lerch has been an active member of PFLAG Canada,
an organization that supports the rights of members of the LGBTQ community*
Lerch's spouse is Janet Hammock
who is also on the
Sackville Arts Wall..
and a QEII award winner...
perhaps their two plaques be located
side by side?
Marilyn Lerch is an advocate against capitalism and
opposes shale gas
"fracking" - pictured above in 2014 where she was collecting donations
and giving information on "fracking"
at the town of Sackville's Farmers Market.

The people who you are told are the 'community builders and leaders' aren't really as important as we are led to believe they are... in fact.. most times they stand in the way of progress here with their cliquey-ness and closed-mindedness:
