In England in the 1960s mothers-to-be who had had a good delivery in the hospital with their first child were encouraged to give birth to their next baby in a home delivery with attending MidWife.

The truth is that the birthing of children is something the female body is designed very well to do . . given the desire and hope to have a low trauma / no trauma birth experience some women still opt for home births today. With no medical intervention and no use of drugs this birth experience empowers women.
