In Summerside with Deputy Mayor Greg Martin at the #AtlanticMayors2024 to discuss issues facing all Atlantic Canadians. There is a big focus on housing at this conference with the federal Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Sean Fraser in attendance, as well as all four provincial housing Ministers.
Federal Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Sean Fraser is here on day 2 of the Atlantic Mayors Congress. There have been fantastic conversations about housing, homelessness, clean energy, transit expansion and infrastructure. #AtlanticMayors2024
As part of the annual FCM conference, UMNB president Andrew Black - Mayor of Tantramar was elected to the position of Atlantic Caucus Chair. The chair represents the interests of Atlantic Canadian municipalities on the executive committee of the FCM. Congratulations to Mayor Black and Vice-Chair, Councillor Bruce MacDougall (Summerside)

Mayor Black has positioned himself into so much bureaucratic b.s. that it is no wonder he has no time to plan and build a concrete skate park venue for the youth here.. and he simply doesn't care. Career politician, poser and schmoozer Andrew Black is the perfect tool of the technocracy - he's travelled, posed for photos, met with other people for 'meetings', talked of 'networking' for the entire time he has been elected and so in truth he has achieved nothing except chumming with other people who dine out and gather at the expense of the taxpayers .. a life lived feeding at the public trough.
I hope people remember his lack of vision and how little he has actually achieved come the next election. The same could be said for his equally ineffectual and faithful sidekick coviet fraudster Allison Butcher. The two are just back from their all expense paid holiday in Calgary Alberta for yet another annual FCM clusterf*ck of "meetings" and dining high on the hog in Hogtown... and neither has a vision or plan of their own for anything in the way of development in the Town of Tantramar. They are paid well but they achieve nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
Screen capture below of Allison attempting to express how her "tool box" was added to by attending in Calgary with others in June.
As for the public engagement sessions what were they supposed to achieve? Nothing. This is called creating the illusion of input, theatrics, and "we are here for you" delusion.
I'm NOT sure when politics became so theatrical and vacuous.. but today's crop of politicians appear to think they can just feed us a continuous stream of selfies and that's working for their paycheques.. its not.
Case in point:
PEACEFULLY.
