Glen Savoie will serve as interim leader of PCNB
Fredericton- Saint John East MLA Glen Savoie has been named Interim Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick.
Savoie, first elected in 2010, has served as Minister responsible for la Francophonie, Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Minister of Local Government as well as Government House Leader.
PC party president Erika Hachey says "Provincial Council for the PCNB party voted unanimously in favour of Glen Savoie as interim leader. The party looks forward to hearing Mr. Savoie's address at our upcoming AGM on November 9"
Savoie will also lead the opposition Progressive Conservative caucus of sixteen MLAs, including several who have served as Ministers of the Crown."

Just over $93K annual pay as of November 2024 for New Brunswick's MLAs reflects a substantial increase from $85K - Premier Susan Holt's salary will be over $180K.. not bad gents & ladies of the "chattering class" in Fredericton N.B. Glen Savoie is interim leader of the opposition PCNBs.
Low voter turn-out was a factor in re-election of Mitton Green MLA in this riding which is mostly rural and apparently rather apathetic about politics. Megan received only 2,468 votes out of 8,237.
