Mayor Andrew Black... what the f*ck?
Housing for Tantramar is in an ongoing "crisis"?
The government and the solutions presented here are nannystatism, anti-single family homes and private property, co-ops, non-profits, all should be no surprise at all.. the very idea that any housing is 'non-profit' is ridiculous! There will always be certain people who profit from housing builds.
Story of "Freshwinds" boosted by Bruce Wark:
"Freshwinds Housing Co-Op" is being given more time, money, and oxygen at the Town Hall Palace by Mayor of Housing Black in his attempt to show that government in the region is in fact superior at creating housing than the free market .. another epic fail by Black choosing winners and losers in the "home building efforts locally" .. this time featuring perennial grifters Eric and Margaret Tuzs-King & their trusty sidekick and "climateering grifter" Sabine Dietz [all the usual suspects] in the steering of another "grabbler" endeavour for the greater good ... more here:
"affordable, sustainable" [of course] website:
Boosted by Erica Butler at CHMA as well here:
More here:
We shouldn't want our governments, non-profits or other do-gooder organizations and grifters working on housing projects.. and here's an example why:
"These brand-new, modular homes are built to offer high-quality homes in a compact footprint. Prospective tenants who are local to the area and have a steady, moderate income could be eligible to rent one of 19 rental units. Rents range from at $550-708 per month + utilities for a 1-bedroom and $884 per month + utilities for a 2-bedroom, for household incomes between $25,800 – $45,000. Units range in size from 395 sq ft to 592 sq ft."
We should as a collective of thinking locals be pushing against this sort of over-the-top nannystatism.. Andrew Black has proven himself to be a thoroughly incompetent leader and weak-minded advocate and thinker.
Pods for the plebs? Prestige for the chattering class?
