Few places in Canada have been as threatened by Trump’s tariff war as New Brunswick, with an economy built around forestry, seafood and energy. But there’s opportunity arising too. New Brunswick’s maritime port is booming with Canadian cargo looking to avoid U.S. tariffs. And the premier has a strategy to develop new mines in the province. Premier Susan Holt talks to host Amanda Lang about selling Canada to the world, rebooting mining and negotiating Canada-U.S. trade.

Susan Holt decided NOT to use X anymore for some reason.. unfortunate.. transparency isn't valued in New Brunswick for some reason.. Mount Allison University also decided not to use X .. I'd have to ask them to reconsider because many of us are not using Facebook and this tool is useful, like all tools:

So much for the transparency of our institutions huh? Both Susan Holt and Mount Allison University are still using Facebook.. here:

At a time when countries around the world are rethinking security, supply chains, and sovereignty, New Brunswick has real strengths to offer. From cybersecurity and advanced manufacturing to land systems expertise and access to two deep-water ports in Saint John and Belledune, to the world-class training happening at CFB Gagetown, where Canada’s military is made.
I was at CANSEC this week meeting with industry leaders including Thales, General Dynamics Mission Systems, Lockheed Martin, Hanwha, DEW Engineering, Marshall Land Systems, and BDC to talk about how we grow more opportunities here at home, create good-paying jobs, and help Canada build the capacity it needs in an uncertain world.
New Brunswick may be small, but we have the talent, expertise, and partnerships to play a big role for Canada. 🪖"
