In Loving Memory of Denise Roberge
April 28, 1950 - May 5, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Denise Roberge, who left us on May 5, 2025.
Renowned jewelry designer, art gallery owner and restaurateur, Denise Roberge was an inspiring businesswoman, creative force and beloved local icon. Her handcrafted, one-of-a-kind jewelry designs blended old-world artistry with contemporary sophistication. Her work has been featured at Christie's and is collected around the globe. Since 1985, Denise operated a gallery and jewelry atelier on El Paseo in Palm Desert, California, a space that showcased her extraordinary designs alongside fine art and fashion and served as a hub for creativity and community events. Known for her bold window displays and unapologetic opinions, Denise leaves behind a lasting legacy-one that will continue to shine as brightly as the pieces she created.
Denise was born in Vermilion, Canada to Agnes and Leon Roberge. She was truly one of a kind-charismatic, unique, loving, kind, generous and quick-witted. She touched so many lives with her warmth, her generosity of spirit and her unwavering belief in the transformative power of love and caring for others. Denise cared deeply and poured her heart into countless lives. She was happiest when supporting others in pursuing their dreams and believing in their own potential.
Her magnetic character and inspiring belief in people encouraged many to elevate their ambitions and dream bigger. She gave happily, freely and without hesitation-of her time, her talent, her ideas and her heart.
While Denise was known around the world for her bespoke jewelry, she was also deeply generous and grounded in her community. Her "magnificent" creations were a reflection of her beautiful soul, her passion for connection and her desire to bring joy and meaning to others through beauty and craftsmanship.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to the doctors, nurses and the entire medical team at Eisenhower Health for their compassionate care.
We also want to thank each of you who sent messages, shared memories, held Denise in your hearts and prayed for her. Your kindness and care have meant more than words can express.
This November, we will host a memorial gathering to honor and celebrate the incredible life she lived-surrounded by those who loved her most. Details will be shared in the coming weeks.
We will always treasure the memory of our precious, beautiful friend.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in Denise's name to Loving All Animals 760-834-7000 and Barbara Sinatra Children's Center is greatly appreciated.
