"In addition to serving as the province's lieutenant-governor, Trenholme Counsell held many roles, including as a family physician, an MLA, a cabinet minister, a senator and a longtime advocate for literacy in New Brunswick.
"Marilyn was brilliant, and all those incredible things that she's achieved and said, but you know what she was? She was love in action," Canadian author and literacy advocate Sheree Fitch told Information Morning Fredericton."
