"Hatfield was a student at the University of Lethbridge. In a statement, the university said it is “co-operating fully” with authorities.

“The university can confirm this individual was a University of Lethbridge student,” the statement reads. “Violence, such as the actions that occurred (Monday), has no place in our society.

“The university also strongly condemns the views and ideologies that have been attributed to the shooter in media reports.”

Hatfield graduated from Catholic Central High School in Lethbridge in 2019, according to the school’s graduation records."

Parents of missing Liam Toman call for more Tremblant Village security

"Lara Toman, Liam’s stepmother, said they’ve also met with the new mayor of Mont-Tremblant, Pascal De Bellefeuille, to keep the search alive.

“It was an opportunity to discuss a lot of the issues, and he agrees it’s time to fix forward,” she said.

In March, Liam’s wallet was found in one of the parking lots. After extensive searches, his parents no longer believe he is in the village area.

“Our family believes Liam isn’t here, but the answers are,” said Chris Toman.

Quebec provincial police says its investigation is ongoing.

“Right now, we don’t have any credible information saying something criminal has happened, but it’s not excluded, because everything is on the table,” said spokesperson Marc Tessier.

Tessier said police will set up a command post on Jan. 31 in the Mont-Tremblant Village.

R. Buckminster Fuller USA ~ An American Thinker - Happy Bucky Fuller Day July 12th !

See:

When the student is ready the teacher will appear...

If you haven't heard about Bucky Fuller and you're in your teens, 20s, or 30s, or 40s don't feel too bad.... your education was like mine, a little lacking, as I didn't learn in public school about Bucky's work and it wasn't until I was in my early 40s with children of my own that I was pleasantly surprised to discover about the life's work and efforts of this man who was a major contributor to our society's way of thinking about intelligent design, optimism, nature, technology, creation of architectural builds, forward thinking, human positivity, and functional innovative projects .. I discovered Bucky thru Peter Joseph Merola - Zeitgeist Movement filmmaker and by reading his books and visiting the fabulous Expo 67 exhibit that remains to this day in Montreal Quebec on the island they built from the soil they dug up to create a Metro underground system!  Pre-UN Agenda 21 there was a whole other world of creativity and development that focussed on the "up with humans!" ethos which is not the case today.
Bucky was an optimist.. he thought that humanity were great and that they were worth fighting for ... that we're "going to make it.. " [humanity] and so do I - why wouldn't we?  More than ever we need intelligent design; not social engineering and behaviour modification -- they are two very different things.

Dear community,

The McCord Stewart Museum announced today the permanent closure of the Stewart Museum due to extremely difficult financial circumstances.

We sincerely thank you for your interest in the Museum and for following its stories and activities with passion. The Stewart Museum's collection has been integrated with those of the McCord Museum since the merger of the two museums in 2013. The collection will continue to be preserved and disseminated through virtual programming, exhibitions and a new digital platform that will be launched in the fall of 2021.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all the employees who have done extraordinary work at the Museum for so many years. Some of them will remain with the McCord Museum team.
