Sackville's Lazy Town Employees: Pryde & Cole

I've been promoting and helping to push forward a project since 2013.. the youth here presented before Town Council and Mayor that summer.

Since then the town hired Matt Pryde.  Matt is a pleasant fellow but has no ability to get a project promoted or planned.. his partner in crime is Todd Cole - an equally unhelpful character.. my guess is together they probably make enough money that in 3 or 4 years of their combined pay a new skatepark project could be built.. from what I have witnessed they should be fired and their salaries put towards this concrete build.

Youth don't ask for much.. they should be able to enjoy a venue that is decent.

Planning takes effort and it takes a passion for doing something constructive.

"Tantramar Skate Park" project is a well thought out and exciting idea.

Plan, do, enjoy.  Since I have spent countless hours promoting this project, putting up posters, talking to citizens and making a real effort for a bunch of youth who are so often overlooked it is heartbreaking I will would propose that Sackvillians take this idea seriously and make an effort to build something of a legacy here...

Other places do it.. why can't we?

Mr. Cole likes to ignore this and Mr. Pryde thinks it is some sort of joke.  Its not.

I recently discovered Matt's new project is another child's playground this time in the Silver Lake park area ... so far the town has 're - done' a park in the centre of town for $500K and now another $100K plus for another playground make-over on the other side of town.. imagine that? Going out of their way to ignore " TSP ".

Left a comment at local Bruce Wark's facebook page on this matter recently:

"Matt Pryde at one point made a plea to Kraft Canada for money for a great skatepark to the tune of $250K but for some reason he appears to have abandoned this project in favour of something else.. I do have to ask why Matt Pryde has been so unhelpful on this project.. he arrived from Nova Scotia after the youth here presented in 2013 before mayor and council in the summer... Matt wrote: ".. Dufferin Street Skate Park - Kraft Heinz Project Play ://kraftheinzprojectplay.com/.../dufferin-street-skate-park/
Aug 9, 2017 - The Grand Prize winner will receive $250000 towards a recreational facility ... Sackville, New Brunswick, a town of 5,500 people, has a long and proud ... the Southeast New Brunswick portion of the Trans Canada Trail passes" .. removed content.. probably the money spent on the new "welcome to new brunswick" sign would have paid for a brand new playground.. its not a shortage of money; just their ideas on how to spend it that baffles me.. the 'greater good' is not necessarily what we think it is.. huh? taxpayers' money is spent arbitrarily and its difficult to determine which level of govt is the messiest at balancing the books.. as you know .. and no one else seems to really gives a rat's ass about covering .. since 2013 or so there has been a call for a real concrete skatepark... Tantramar Skate Park .. but Matt Pryde chuckles at me when I bring up this project .. I have zero respect for the people at the town hall, esp Phil Handrahan, and never attend the meetings at the town hall .. so I appreciate that you cover it so well."

The new highway replacement 'welcome' sign doesn't say welcome anymore... imagine that? Wonder how much it cost?
