Friends, I had a once in a lifetime opportunity to share my story through a beautifully documented mini-biopic directed by Storyline. Please watch in HD!!! 💗
We filmed this video in late August –a few days before I moved to Halifax to start my masters at Dalhousie. Those weeks were the most anxiety-filled moments (so far) in my life, as I transitioned communities and reflected on an eventful few years in Sackville (—maybe you can spot the lil nervous errors I make in the video ...oops). I tried showcasing my favourite places in Sackville: the Tantramar marshes, Black Duck Café, the windmills in Cumberland,Sackville Community Garden, and the quad where we held out camp-out.
After my impeachment and resignation from the students’ union, DivestMTA showed me what community, friendship, forgiveness, leadership, and bold action looked like. I have so much overwhelming love for this campaign and everyone who struggled to challenge, question and act. We allowed ourselves to be vulnerable and care deeply about something so much that we spent countless, unquestioned hours cutting a million orange little squares, cooking for community meals, writing press releases and reports, inviting/creating community and starting difficult conversations.
Shoutout to my sis, Shannon, who is so freaking eloquent and whom I trust the most to challenge me. And the wonderful Aidan, Percy, Matt for being such goddamn beautiful people and spending a dog day afternoon in the lazy August sun making pizza in the bake oven.

Its OK to support Canadian industry.
Its OK to promote dialogue and free speech.
Its OK to have a different opinion from the crowd at "Divest MTA".. many do not share the goals of this extremely radical anti-industry on-campus group that seems to try to dominate the entire narrative.
If you don't support this woman's ongoing actions -- like me -- you'll be welcome at http://canadaaction.ca .. I will continue to advocate SUPPORT for Canadian oil and gas and oil sands and pipelines.
I advocate as well .. for Tina and her fellow quarter of a million Haligonians..... my passion is safe drinking water.... I am concerned this issue is ignored by too many people and I help raise awareness.
Working with Safe Water Moncton in 2010 were we able to remove fluoridation in 2011.. success.
I respect the right of all Canadians to promote what they wish to promote.. but I challenge them too.
