Latest update here:

Though we have returned to an in-person festival, we understand that the pandemic is still ongoing. In the spirit of community care and to help protect our team, artists, and audiences, masks are required at Sappyfest 17 except when actively eating or drinking.
Please practice good hand hygiene, cough or sneeze into your arm (yes, even when wearing a mask), practice consent when touching people (ask for those hugs and handshakes!), give people the space they need and stay home if you are experiencing ANY symptoms!
Wearing a cloth mask or forgot your mask? Not a problem. Grab some KN95s from our box office or at any Sappyfest venue. We encourage N95 masking. We also have a supply of rapid tests available for anyone in need at our box office!
Sappy-goers who begin experiencing symptoms during the festival should leave and isolate immediately. There will be signage throughout the festival reminding attendees of our COVID-19 protocols.
Thank you for your understanding and compassion!

Julie is nobody's fool.... Fcuk Bill Gates ... No Mandated Jabbies!

Tyranny and abuses on campuses across Canada...

this is your 'new normal' .. how many boosters will be enough? Ask yourself how far you want to go..

Its not too late to reverse this bad policy making..

A philosophy professor at Ontario’s Huron University College says she has been put on paid leave and is unable to teach students because of her refusal to get vaccinated, which violates the school’s COVID-19 policy.

Huron, which is affiliated with the University of Western Ontario, requires mandatory vaccination on campus, except for people who have received an exemption, either for medical reasons, or creed or religion. In those cases, people must be tested twice weekly.

“There is no testing option for those who choose not to be vaccinated,” the notice on the Huron website says. “Those without proof of vaccination or an exemption will not be permitted on campus.”

Julie Ponesse, a professor in the philosophy department who has taught ethics for 20 years, objects to mandatory vaccination policies and refuses to get a COVID-19 vaccine.

On Tuesday, she emailed her department head to inform him that she would not get a vaccine, not upload proof of vaccination, not wear a mask while teaching or submit to testing to prove she’s COVID free.

“It was within, I think, half an hour of sending that email that I received an email from my dean stating that I would be dismissed and put on temporary paid leave,” Ponesse said.

The email, which the National Post has seen, tells Ponesse she “will be placed on a temporary paid leave and you will not be allowed to attend campus.” Even if she were to get an exemption, the email says, she would have to get rapid testing and wear a mask, which she has refused to do.

Ponesse said she may qualify for an exemption, but her objection is to the mandate itself, and seeking an exemption “acquiesces to the mandate in some sense.”

“I want to be very clear in rejecting it in principle, I don’t think we ever should have been in the place where we’re looking at the situation of mandates, so I’m not just seeking an exemption to one, I’m challenging the very foundation of the idea,” Ponesse said.

A Huron University College professor is speaking out against the institution’s vaccine mandate, questioning the ethics of “coercing people into medical procedures” for those refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The professor states in the video, which has since been removed from YouTube, that she fears for her employment.

Julie Ponesse, an ethics professor at Huron University College which is affiliated with Western University, describes it as “ethically wrong” to require staff and students to be fully vaccinated, despite the policy also being encouraged by Ontario health officials.

“I am facing imminent dismissal after 20 years on the job. Because I will not submit to having an experimental vaccine injected into my body,” said Ponesse in the video.

“I don’t work in a high-risk environment. I’m not a doctor in an emergency room. I’m a teacher. I’m a university professor,” she adds.

This video comes amid a statement released Tuesday by Western University President and Vice-Chancellor Alan Shepard, after a “disturbing trend” involving several large gatherings near the campus in London, Ont., during frosh week.

“This activity is a blatant disregard for the campus community, public health, and the law,” Shepard wrote. “We want to be clear: if this activity continues, the academic year we have so carefully planned will not happen. In-person learning with fellow students, interaction with professors, extra-curricular activities, athletics and all the things that make your student experience great will be lost.

Ponesse defended her refusal to be vaccinated by comparing herself to Greek philosopher Socrates. “In the spirit of Socrates, who was executed for asking questions ... When a person has done the same job to the satisfaction of her employer for 20 years, is it right? Or is it wrong to suddenly demand that they submit to an unnecessary medical procedure in order to keep their job?” said Ponesse.

Near the end of the video, Ponesse is seen crying while an unidentified woman in the background says, “That was amazing, Julie.”

Ponesse has also received support from the People’s Party of Canada as she spoke to PPC Leader Maxime Bernier last week regarding the ethics of lockdowns and vaccine policies, which the video refers to as “illegal and unconstitutional.”

The video ends with a black screen and writing in white font, saying, “Dr. Ponesse was dismissed from her position on September 7, 2021.”
