REVISED: "White Voices Notice" for Megan Mitton MLA

Megan Mitton MLA for Tantramar/
Memramcook is a communitarian,
social engineer and divisive politician.
Out of touch and elitist with no connection
to the people of her riding she spouts off
about social justice and racial justice
and provides little leadership but lots
of hot air and online posturing... an AOC-type.
Megan's ties and loyalties are to the
University politico elite crowd
and to the Rotary Club ....
Her McGill University education has taught
her how to be an agitator and "community
organizer" and nothing more....
she is not a woman of the common people..
#Megan Mitton needs to resign

Megan Mitton MLA is a corporation and
is paid $85,000 per annum --
that over $7,000 per month --
to essentially tweet and post on
Facebook where she
 lectures about "identity"...
among other unproductive things.

#Vote her out!

This 'white voices notice' is directed
to MLA Megan Mitton and her feckless followers:

White Voices

To whom it may concern, Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. We appreciate your commitment to tolerance and would like to applaud you for listening to diverse opinions. Our concern, as White Advocates, is that rhetoric that is purported to be designed to help with racial issues often exacerbate relations between groups and can cause division and resentment. Programs and classes about “White Privilege” inculcate a sense of guilt and shame into white people and are based on the pernicious idea that whites are inherently oppressive to other racial groups. “White Privilege” indoctrination is a passive-aggressive, psychological attack on the well-being of whites as individuals and as a people. Certain political groups have crafted what is called “The Progressive Stack” which puts white, heterosexual men at the bottom of the social order on the notion that they oppress others. We see this ideology manifest itself in policies and laws like Affirmative Action, incentives for non-Whites and systematic ridicule and debasement of whites and their cultures and history. This type of racism should not be tolerated and is a bane on our free and equal society. Please join us in publicly condemning “White Privilege” indoctrination as a hateful, anti-white attack on an entire race of people. Sincerely, White Voices

What does the very well paid, and arrogant gaslighter Megan Mitton MLA say to the people of her local riding this week?
Does she give them encouragement about the economy?
Does she offer some solutions for ways to grow the region?
Does she make it clear she actually cares about their well-being? No. She lectures on 'white' people and their evils...
she offers a book suggestion to help them with supremacy!
If anyone has supremacy it is the over-educated out of touch ivory tower dwellers of academia in this town.. they are lost.

Mitton writes online on her Facebook this b.s.:

"March 21st is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. So many times this year, we have seen how racial discrimination exacerbates violence and how it intersects with sexism, colonialism, and other social inequalities, but this isn't new. Recent events, including the murder of 8 people in Atlanta, Georgia, have triggered reflection and discussion of the specific racial discrimination, and misogyny, directed at Asian people and especially women, which has been worsened by COVID-19 misinformation and racism.

Although it is easy for those of us who don't experience racial discrimination to think that this doesn’t happen in our community, but it does. For people like me, who are white, it's important to listen to the voices of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and people of colour) and learn. But we must not stop there. We must continue to work to be anti-racist and there are many resources we can use to do this. We must also have systemic changes, that go beyond individual actions. For example, we need an inquiry into systemic racism in the police and justice systems, and across our institutions. Indigenous, Black, and Asian and other racialized people in our province experience racial discrimination every day.

This year, the theme was Youth Standing Up Against Racism and youth across the riding this past year have been actively fighting racial discrimination. This includes Mount Allison’s recent Racial Justice Symposium, Sackville's Black Lives Matter Protest, and many more actions throughout the riding, and our province. Our young leaders have demonstrated they can quickly organize and demand concrete action against racism and injustice.

Today, I challenge you to learn from the strong stances that youth in our communities are taking and to do some work of your own. One suggestion for a place to start (but not end) would be to engage with a book, such as "Me and White Supremacy" by Layla Saad. We must stand with BIPOC to eliminate racial discrimination from our society, today and every day.

(Audio books, ebooks, and physical copies of this and other books on anti-racism are available from our local libraries. If you have other resources to recommend, feel free to put them in the comments)."
