Special Council Meeting - March 19, 2024 - Municipality of Tantramar Town Hall Meeting at 3pm.

The really big ask from grabblers [ $85Million library project] presentation with Robert and friends of Mount Allison University today.  The solidly built and majestic library is - we are to believe - at the end of its life.  Yeah, sure it is Robert..

Well dears.. "entitled" doesn't even begin to cover it.. how much money will ever be enough for these people?  A charity that is as wealthy as Mount A. should be funding their own projects.  Period.
Advice to Inglis - learn to balance your budgets.

The work will be done by their crony pals.. funnelling cash to their besties... its what they do.

"Renovations" are not the responsibility of the rest of us but apparently these sort of fun projects are going to be funded with as much money as the administrative group can grift from government.
Imagine if everyone who wanted to put an addition on their homes asked for free money from the government?  As for the Mayor Andrew Black -- he could not be more happy to support this big ask.

Councillor Bruce Phinney probes on the inspiration for the project.. and why it is necessary/needed.. Robert Inglis is Vice President of Finance and Administration at Mount Allison University...

Rachel Rubin comes from America with lots of big ideas and big plans for our little town's university.
How lovely to have a helpful American here to spend money in such times of austerity for regular folks... truly.. the world is run by elitists who live in a Bubble of privilege.  Rachel the change agent doesn't fool me y'all.  This "change" is expensive as hell, destructive to the existing landscape and totally unnecessary.  Pity Andrew Black cannot speak the plain language of the working class..
