... lots of "visioning" no doubt... someone has a plan in hand to start creating new housing... but what?
David Hickey was welcomed to speak as the elected Liberal MLA for Saint John Harbour and the Minister Responsible for the NB Housing Corporation. David Hickey was doing outreach and was happy to take questions and engage with the attendees. More here: Hon. David Hickey – Liberal Party
see his work at website: warktimes.com for more...
Town Hall's Communications officer Jeremy was also on hand to talk with the public and answer questions and listen to concerns.. which he did. Jeremy's enjoying his work with the town which is very refreshing to see:

Mayor Black managed the group, asked for questions or commentary from the public, steered discussions, and was able to run to a schedule and control the gathering towards a particular outcome which will no doubt be announced by his housing group at a future date... it would have been great to see local builders, architects, handymen, and tradesmen included and spotlighted as well as the importance of schooling and education that seeks the encouragement of gaining skills in the trades with our highschool students and highschool graduates looking for work here. Is there a labour shortage? Do we need a labour bank for people to sign up with that want to work on construction projects? What other actions would help to get homes built here? Lower taxation was discussed, ie. reform of property taxes and how they are calculated as well as incentives to help builders produce housing units here in town. All in all a worthwhile event organized by Townhall staff. Planner Lori Bickford is shown speaking below.
Andrew Black had a CBC reporter covering the gathering and he took her with him to attend with privately in his office during this event today.
