Mount Allison University is a historic place in Canada.. its one of the most respected institutions.
"Early construction work is expected to get under way next month on the R.P. Bell Library, the first phase of a complete revitalization of the Mount Allison University facility.
Mount Allison announced the construction work will happen from April to August and will get started with the installation of fencing around the Crabtree building on the Convocation Hall side and removal of the stairs leading down towards York Street. Pedestrian access through this area will not be available once construction fencing is installed.
The fencing will come down, however, in August 2026 so there will be no disruptions during the 2026-27 academic year. The next phase of construction work is not expected to get under way until spring/summer of 2027.
The newly-renovated library, expected to open sometime in 2030, is being designed as a centre for innovation and learning. In addition to library staff, collections, and resources, it will house: academic support for students, teaching and learning support for faculty, and spaces designed to facilitate the variety of ways in which students study and learn."

They will no doubt be tearing down some very beautiful old trees in the process.
