So who lives there?  Michael Reynolds says "its evolved over the years.. when we first started the community it was youngish hipsters, what do you call 'em yuppy types, but now with the world going to hell in a handbag.. you've got old people, you've got young people, you got single people, you got kids, everybody is a little bit afraid and you get them in a building like this and they're not afraid anymore" - - Michael Reynolds was featured in the 2007 film "Garbage Warrior" ..

World-changing news.. the timeline is shifting..

radically, and rapidly... and you would be wise to pay attention to the disclosures from this blogger.

Don't shoot the messengers!

As Harold Jarche says here in town.. "there are blogs, and then there are blogs that people read."

This blogger has over 2.1+million views..

people in a university town will pretend this site does not exist for as long as possible keeping each other in line and muzzled.. until they won't be able to ignore the information anymore.. that's how this game works.  Where is your mind on this information.. what's your role in disclosure?

Mayor’s controversial gas-plant statement survives tied Tantramar council vote |

"Mike says:

I guess nobody’s paying attention to the current BESS incident happening at the solar farm in Summerside, PEI? Toxic plume. Shelter in place, voluntary evacuation? This is real. People need to understand all the parameters of any technology- conventional or emerging.https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/prince-edward-island/pei-summerside-solar-farm-fire-school-cancelled-9.7336769

  • Percy Best Best says:

Since the cause of the Summerside fire was from the heavy driving rain intruding into the battery containers, I do wonder why they did not put an open sided canopy system over all of the battery packs and install many of their solar panels on top, like a large flat topped building would have.

It would be a much more efficient way to utilize land than they did with the independent, open to the weather installation.

It would have provided a basically dry enclosure for the battery packs similar to the canopies at gas stations and this fire event may not have occurred.

    • Mike says:

I see your point – however, the batteries have to be enclosed in a weather tight, temperature controlled environment much like a shipping container (heating, cooling, ventilation) to a sweet spot of 70F. The Battery failure occurs when that temperature is not maintained. When they discovered the failure they first had to isolate it from the rest of the enclosures. When it starts to burn it can’t be extinguished – water doesn’t work. Foaming it to smother it doesn’t work. It doesn’t need air to burn as it’s self consuming. If you could safely lift it with a cherry picker and drop it into a deep pool, it’d keep burning. So plume monitoring and collection of contaminated water is about all they can do. The temp can reach 1000 F – explosion can occur"

Rural Area Street Lights - Discussion with Town Councillor Ward 4 Kristen Leblanc [Facebook]

Found here:  Facebook [sometimes I can view Facebook but I am not allowed to have an account, for like years, FYI, but I do like to see what the rural folks are saying .. I don't want them ignored at all]

Curiosity Question for Constituents

While driving along Route 940 North this evening, I noticed that once you leave Ward 4, there are streetlights installed along portions of the road. The fixtures appear to be directed downward toward the roadway, which helps limit light pollution.

It got me wondering about public opinion on rural streetlighting. Some people feel that lighting at dangerous turns and intersections improves visibility and safety for motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians.

Others prefer to preserve darker skies and the rural character of the area.

What's your perspective?

Would you support streetlights at high-risk intersections and sharp curves along Route 940, or do you feel these areas are better left unlit?

This isn't a proposal or formal survey- just a curiosity question to hear what residents think. 💭

I look forward to reading your thoughts and experiences.

Thank you!"

"Pam Novak

Nope. We don't need more light pollution. In the 31 years I have been here, I have noticed such an increase in glowing skies from the nearby towns. It is not safe for wildlife, and a waste of generated energy. The dark skies of rural life should be treasured. (See The Dark Sky Initiative.) Folks out here don't know how lucky we are. We have spectular night skies complete with the Milky Way and Aurora Borealis viewing. During bad weather, road lighting at night can create glare and distoration. Put our tax dollars into the seasonal reflective markers on both sides of the roads (they have guided me through the worst of winter storms through Rt. 940, but there was a noticeable decrease of them this past winter), have better and safer road markings and conditions, clear the growth back from the edges of the road that is getting notoriously longer and invasive onto the road, and reflective signs at dangerous curves and intersections. Introduce public campaigns to remind folks to slow down at night and bad weather, watch for wildlife (especially in high wildlife corridor areas,) maintain your car headlights, and don't throw your trash out the friggin windows of your car - which all increase domestic and wild animals coming closer onto the roads."

"Dawn Troop
I feel that a few streetlights at dangerous areas would be amazing, I work nightshift and coming home on a moonless night it's VERY black....I would feel much safer with 'a few' streetlights along the 940"

"Shelly Haley
I think street lights would be great in some areas. I know this was discussed before about them in areas and I think that one at Forks rd and route 940 would be good as wildlife crosses there"

"Jacky Price
I'm opposed, I want to preserve as much rural living as possible. No streetlights, no sidewalks please, we've gotten this many years without them."

"Andy Mills
Don't need them and don't want them. It would be just another excuse to raise taxes and for nb power to increase rates."

Some people LOVE to meddle and plan the lives of others.. including telling them how to think.. and some people don't.. which kind of person are you?

Do you know how to spot those "meddlers" [also known as facilitators] yet? Why not?

What Do "Change Agents" Do? How Are They Enabled? Funded?

What they do is celebrated wildly in this university town of followers who for the most part don't know their assholes from a hole in the ground, in other words, they have zero discernment and do not understand societal subversion and that's a problem.

University-education is producing "change agents" who seek to "reinvent" our society and our economy ... fundamentally ... and they have zero shame about taking money to do so and promoting this "much needed change".. here Marg T. King explains:

Inclusive social enterprises are key to transforming our society and our economy

The blog "No Snow in Moscow" has some worthwhile reading as well, here:

This week with "leader" and local "change agent" Megan "McGill" Mitton MLA on Facebook:

Eight years ago, I ran for office because I felt the urgency to address the healthcare and climate crises, and now more than ever, we need leaders who will act to safeguard the health and safety of New Brunswickers, and bring fairness and affordability to our economy.
That is why today, I am announcing that I am seeking the leadership of the Green Party of New Brunswick, with a vision for our province where New Brunswickers are at the heart of every decision. A New Brunswick with practical solutions for a better energy grid, better access and prevention in healthcare, and social and economic justice. A New Brunswick where climate action is prioritized as a way to strengthen and sustain our province for generations to come.
I submitted my application this week to the leadership committee and will officially become a registered leadership contestant once the vetting is complete. I look forward to keeping you updated as this process unfolds."
