Shawn Mesheau was a former Town Councillor and Mayor of Sackville New Brunswick..

"Shawn Mesheau

It is unfortunate how certain groups are changing the narrative of what the work of a municipal government is.
This is being done to advance their own agendas and objectives.
Not about ensuring residents of the municipality of Tantramar receive adequate services which their property tax dollars go to pay for.
Access to water/sewer services.
Functional public safety service - police/fire/by-law that protect us.
Properly maintained infrastructure that supports both motorized and active transportation.
Recreational facilities and parks that support healthy living.
Advocating for continued and better access to healthcare and education.
Definition- Advocating
publicly recommend or support.
Definition- Activism
using vigorous campaigning to bring about political or social change.
There is a difference between being an advocate or being an activist.
What our council candidates are being asked to do by certain groups is be activists.
That is not the roll of “Municipal” elected officials.
When you vote make your choice based on who will work on your behalf to ensure municipal services are maintained, improved and added to.
Please do not let the activist tell you what this election is about." - Shawn Mesheau
