Natalie Donaher of Mount Allison University Advocating "Shelter Well" Non-Profit

sign from the January 2025 "housing session" at Town Hall with Mayor Andrew Black

Natalie... you're meddling.. again.. its not helpful.

I don't think you'd like to live in 400 sq. ft. living space so why are you advocating for such a demoralizing lifestyle for others?  Why are you advocating densification? Who is offering to do this tiny homes construction work? How is a non-profit organization "Shelter Well" funded, organized?

Just leave the building of new homes to the free market capitalists operating in the marketplace to determine and to design and to construct... calling a veritable dog shed a "cottage" is misleading advertising.. not good work.

" A pocket community is a form of housing where small houses are arranged around a central courtyard. The houses are similar in size to a cottage—between 400 and 750 sq. ft.—and, depending on zoning, five or six houses could be placed on a lot that would typically have a single-family dwelling."

Tantramar Council to consider allowing small, cottage-style homes in residential areas |

"Donaher says she realizes the town may consider allowing even smaller homes when it reviews its municipal plan, but for now, she feels 400-square-foot rectangular ones would meet the needs of people on tight budgets." [ Donaher is employed by Mount Allison University and lives in her roomy home out in the countryside of Tantramar ]
