"A Nova Scotia development company that builds and leases rental properties is buying a large chunk of land in Sackville across from the Ultramar gas station on Cattail Ridge.
The land, extending about 600 feet along Cattail Ridge from the Westmorland vet clinic to Bridge Street, has been cleared of birch trees by its present owner, Percy Best, who is selling most of it to Parsons Investments Ltd. of Kingston, Nova Scotia.
On its website, Parsons Investments says that since 1962, it has been developing rental properties for retail, residential, industrial and commercial tenants “ranging from international corporations to mom and pop shops.” The company also provides rental space for government agencies."
I remember when I had Facebook many years ago and this property was up for sale… on my “Tantramar Skate Park Project” Facebook page I had shared it as a good location for the new concrete skatepark project…. and Percy commented.. then proceeded to snap up that property.. just a coincidence.. he and Sharon Hicks have always hated me and my local advocacy for a new concrete skate park project in this town for the youth. Percy, in 2026, shoots up a 200 ft. middle finger at the Town with his “Rogers Cell Tower” Project.. what kind of legacy is this for a millionaire to leave the good people of this town Percy? All that money and zero heart."

NB Power should be sold to Emera —- and they certainly seem to be in the buying mode now! This would solve a multitude of problems and it probably would see the Lepreau Nuclear Power Plant up and running basically full time, much to the chagrin of ‘those’ supplying bunker ‘C’ to Colson Cove."
Any reason to believe that privatizing Lepreau would do anything except make power more expensive as Emera extracted profit from rate payers and left the eventual decommissioning expenses for the province to pay?
Emera had a major cybersecurity breach last year. That doesn’t inspire confidence in their standards.
Emera owns no nuclear generation, so has no experience in nuclear reactors. That’s who you think should run NB’s nuclear reactor?
What Lepreau needs is good management, and Canada needs to go back to treating the nuclear industry as an important national asset, instead of selling off its nuclear assets as the Harper government did because they were so rooted in the Alberta oil industry and hostile to science and engineering."
