Why Are New Brunswick's Covered Bridges Really Disappearing From the Landscape? #CulturalErasure

Iconic Wheaton Covered Bridge on the Tantramar marshlands in Sackville New Brunswick - this should be lovingly preserved because its not only beautiful but also its very useful.. so what's the problem?

When the "government" has no mandate to preserve what is distinct about the landscape.. things are lost and they don't return by magic.  Its important to understand the people who built these covered bridges did so for a reason; our current lack of knowledge about our past makes it easy for us to be targets for "gaslighting" and abuse; and that's already happening in this province, sadly.  Society is not just an accident.. and certain people build and develop and create.. there is beauty in these wooden structures.. so why would they be targets for erasure? Think about it.. note CBC reporting here:
