The Prince: The Turbulent Reign of Justin Trudeau by Stephen Maher | Goodreads

The Prince: The Turbulent Reign of Justin Trudeau

“…this is a compelling examination of Justin’s time in office.” -Hello! Canada

"The Prince is a fast-paced, highly readable political narrative informed by interviews with more than 200 insiders, including Trudeau himself… The book carefully plots the downward trajectory of Trudeau’s time in power.” -Zoomer Magazine

“Maher delivers a full-length treatment of the Prime Minister and his government that is both comprehensive and insightful… Stephen Maher has delivered a thoroughly researched and fair-minded accounting of Justin Trudeau’s accomplishments and failings. If journalism is the first draft of history, The Prince is a convincing second draft.” -The Globe and Mail

“It deftly captures what went on behind the scenes in Trudeau’s big successes, along with his big failures. The book’s strengths are in Maher’s interviews with top political players who speak candidly about what it’s really like in political Ottawa’s backrooms. The book is a must-read for anyone interested in politics and the prime minister.” -The Hill Times

The first comprehensive biography of Justin Trudeau as prime minister—an honest, compelling story of his government’s triumphs and failures, based on interviews with over 200 insiders and Trudeau himself.

As one of the longest-surviving prime ministers and son of the legendary Prime Minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau, Justin Trudeau is near royalty in Canada. But how did this former high school teacher with no noteworthy accomplishments put together a team that managed to take over the Liberal Party and bring it from third place to a majority government in 2015? The Prince shows just that. In this first comprehensive history of the Justin Trudeau government, veteran journalist Stephen Maher takes readers behind the scenes of a tumultuous decade of Canadian politics. Through hundreds of interviews with political insiders, he describes how Trudeau—a Canadian prince—had the famous name, the political instincts, the work ethic, and the confidence to overcome errors in judgment and build a global brand, winning in the boxing ring and on the debate stage. And then things changed as key people left the Trudeau team and the government lost direction.

Trudeau is an enigmatic figure—a politician who has been in the public eye since childhood and seeks attention but has always concealed his actual feelings from those around him. He has shown admirable strength and skill, deftly handling Donald Trump in trade deals and international meetings and in leading Canada through the COVID-19 pandemic. He has delivered substantial results for people within his political coalition—the most successful attack on poverty in a generation, real progress on climate change, and a sustained application of money and political capital to Indigenous reconciliation. Even as the government overcame major challenges, however, errors in judgment and personality conflicts wasted political capital. Trudeau has struggled to manage his own office, with devastating consequences, and alienated people outside his coalition, to the point where he can’t hold a public event without protesters screaming curses at him.

The Prince takes readers behind the curtain as the government goes from triumph to embarrassment and back again, revealing the people, the conflicts, and the struggles both in the government and on the opposition benches. Above all, it traces why this ambitious government led by a global media darling is now so unpopular it is in danger of imminent collapse.

Bruce Wark at Warktimes.com Fails to Report on this Article from Ontario Landowners.. Why? Self Censorship?

Article is at this Ontario Landowners' website link:

Why won't local reporters talk about this report? Is their Agenda to suppress real news?  Where is Bruce Wark on this story? Where is Erica Butler at CHMA FM Mount Allison University when it comes to reporting on this article by Cheryl Gallant MP Ontario?  Is there a blackout on any negative news with Justin Trudeau?  Is the local news biased? Yes. Is this a problem? Yes!

How is that I am the only publisher in this town who actually bothered to call Cheryl Gallant and discuss her article with her directly? I am not a journalist! I'm a local blogger.  I'm not even on Facebook.. I'm not on Youtube.. I'm not on Instagram.. I'm not on LinkedIn ... all those platforms have banned me.. Why?

Don't we all have a duty to pay attention and speak out about what we see?  If we stay silent on the things that actually matter what will be the outcome?

Trudeau's Obsession with Goofy Goat People of Diagolon in Canadia... What's Up With That?

Distraction media is working very hard to keep peoples' attention away from the real story ..

we are North Americans and we are free, not slaves.

Jeremy Mackenzie, a Gagetown military chap, cannot and will not be allowed to discuss the importance of Greg Hallett's work.  Ever.. that is the job Mackenzie has been given to do.  The ranty RageCast podcaster is a motor mouth on a mission.

Justin Trudeau continues to speak out in parliament about Diagolon.. why?

Poilievre calls on Trudeau to pay back $80K for vacation

Elected in 2015 I would estimate that Justin Trudeau has taken over 30 jet-setting vacations since that time... along with countless 'business' trips.  Does he really worry about his 'carbon footprint'?  Not a fucking chance.

The Internet and Asia-Pacific security: Old conflicts and new behaviour

  • C. OrtisP. Evans
  • Published 1 December 2003
  • Political Science
  • The Pacific Review
The positive uses of the Internet by civil society groups, research institutes, governments and other entities interested in promoting Asia-Pacific community building and cooperative security regimes have been studied and appreciated. The paper begins with a discussion of regional Internet diffusion patterns and the associated increase in Internet incidents. In the wake of 11 September 2001 and recent analysis of the 'dark side' of the Internet and networks, it then examines some of the destructive ways Internet technologies are being used by actors in the Asia-Pacific region. It provides examples from the patterns of Internet conflict involving a quadral relationship among four nodes, uncivil society, civil society, government and business as well as the pattern of conflict within each of the nodes. Finally, it looks at three topic areas - national security agendas, the making of security policy and the regional security dialogue process - that deserve further attention....

"Cameron Ortis is a white hat who discovered Trudeau's Vancouver-based pedophile and snuff entertainment "Piggy Palace" organization used, just like Epstein's Island, to create a network of compromised actors, a form of irregular warfare Cameron Ortis's Phd thesis describes as an insurgency campaign aimed at destroying Canada's judiciary system, and so destroying social stability. Cameron Ortis is a political prisoner being held illegally by the Canadian government because Trudeau gutted the entire justice department when he "resigned" the country's only uncorrupted justice minister. Trudeau is a criminal bent on destroying Canada and he is succeeding because key members of Canada's Senate, Judiciary and RCMP leadership are corrupt and Cameron Ortis knows who they are. Someone in the House of Commons or Senate who has a modicum of respect for The Charter, our children, our seniors and our country must serve a writ of habeus corpus on our psychopathic prime minister to present the person of Cameron Ortis to the floor and have both explain to the assembly, for the record, the nature of the crimes. This must occur to restore the rule-of-law in Canada, and to free Canadians from Covid Auschwitz."

Judge grants bail to former RCMP intelligence official accused of leaking secrets | iNFOnews | Thompson-Okanagan's News Source (infotel.ca)

"OTTAWA - An RCMP intelligence official accused of violating Canada's secrecy law has been granted bail.

The reasons for Ontario Superior Court Justice Robert Maranger's decision Wednesday in the case of Cameron Jay Ortis are covered by a publication ban.

Ortis was taken into custody in Ottawa on Sept. 12, 2019.  The former head of the RCMP's National Intelligence Co-ordination Centre is charged with breaching the Security of Information Act as well as two Criminal Code offences.

An eight-week judge and jury trial for Ortis is slated to begin next October.

Ortis had been granted bail in 2019 but he was sent back to custody in November of that year as a result of a review requested by the Crown."

New defence lawyer takes on high-profile case of RCMP official accused of leaking secrets | CBC News

"Cameron Ortis, the RCMP official accused of preparing to leak sensitive information, has a new lawyer as his case moves toward a trial date later this year.

Earlier this week, Attorney General David Lametti announced that Ian Carter, who has defended Ortis since his arrest back in 2019, has been appointed a judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario in Ottawa.

Jon Doody, who works at Carter's firm, is taking over Ortis' defence.

Ortis, who served as director general of the RCMP's national intelligence co-ordination centre, is charged with violating the Security of Information Act. He is accused of trying to share sensitive information with a foreign entity or terrorist organization and has been charged also with sharing operational information in 2015."

"Biography

Jon Doody has been with  Bayne Sellar Ertel Macrae since 2011 when he started working as a summer student. He was called to the bar in 2014, and has been practicing criminal law since. Jon has considerable experience in the defense of a number of criminal and quasi-criminal‎ charges. He has represented clients facing a wide array of criminal offence charges including, but not limited to: impaired driving, assault, assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault, possession of a firearm, murder and terrorism. Jon has appeared on matters before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice (including both jury and non-jury trials), the Ontario Court of Appeal and a military courts martial. Jon also represents clients in regulatory matters, such as Highway Traffic Act offences and By-law infractions, as well as appeals of such matters.

Jon has expertise in reviewing and challenging both search warrants and the underlying documents — Information to Obtains (ITOs) — used to request a search warrant. Search warrants are often used in cases involving drugs, weapons and computer-related offences such as child pornography. Successfully defending these charges often requires a careful assessment of the search warrants and challenging them when necessary.

In addition, Jon has expertise in defending impaired by drug charges. Jon has particular knowledge and experience dealing with when the police use the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST) or used a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) to perform an evaluation.

After completing his Honors Degree in History and Film at Queen’s University, Jon attended the University of Windsor where he completed his J.D. in 2013. While in law school, Jon worked at the Community Legal Clinic in Windsor, and in his final year he completed a clerkship with Justice Dean of the Superior Court in Windsor. Jon is a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association and the Defence Counsel Association of Ottawa. Jon is currently the treasurer for the Defence Counsel Association of Ottawa."

Justin Trudeau's Canada: The Unhoused and the Well and Truly Housed

Photo of Justin Trudeau with Theresa May

The next time someone complains to you about the lack of housing in Canada just remind them how much land and resources there are here... no one should be homeless or struggling at all.

A reminder that Prime Minister Trudeau is setting a new level of privilege and power with his need for additional secondary "housing" at his holiday residence just north of Ottawa:

Harrington Lake - National Capital Commission (ncc-ccn.gc.ca)

Why is Justin Trudeau "entitled" to so much housing funding up in the many millions? It could be said he behaves like "royalty" in the way he lives and as well in the entitled attitude he exudes.  Yet Canadians believe this leader is doing just fine as the economy tanks and inflation soars - time to take off the rose coloured glasses.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in St. Andrews, New Brunswick

Caucus retreat with all the besties... how nice.. well no one can say the Liberals don't know how to spend money..  remembering holidays and travel is a distant fond memory for me.  [No funding for this vocation as you can imagine.]

As they gather in St. Andrews this week what do you suppose their Agenda will be?  Its a lot of work building the nannystate I'd imagine.

Dominic Leblanc, Beausejour MP enjoying his summer and stopping in for a meet up at the Town Hall in Sackville this month - wonder what projects they're plotting now?
