Bruce Wark and Settler Colonialism in Canada Commentary at Warktimes.com - Has Bruce Got An Agenda? Yes.

At this link:  23.10.25 Susan Holt Member Statements/Déclarations

"They're going to take your land" - Blaine Higgs Premier of New Brunswick says Susan Holt...
did that really happen? Is it really true? Could a 'race' of people in our province be attempting to take the 'land back' using lawyers? Yeah, they are.. its called "race based law" and Susan Holt is a moron for not recognizing this reality.

Whoever the author at the Law Society of New Brunswick is that wrote this statement is a coward for not even signing their name and putting date to this "declaration" - here:

Yes there is a problem brewing and the lying journalists in New Brunswick are covering it up.

 brucewark says:

Oh Billy Boy, how I hope you are wrong. I’ve been thinking about your comment for a few days now. I normally don’t respond, but since nobody else has so far, I think I’ll weigh in.

You claim that First Nations have “zero influence, zero weight, and little ability one way or the other.” I hope you are wrong, although I notice NS Premier Tim Houston’s government appears to agree. Without consulting First Nations, his government reversed the ban on uranium exploration and mining; brought in a law to ban Indigenous protests to block clear-cutting on Crown land and called on the RCMP to crack down on non-government cannabis sales including shops on First Nations’ reserves. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/mi-kmaw-chiefs-tim-houston-claudia-chender-derek-mombourquette-cannabis-9.7012307

During his six years in office, I guess Blaine Higgs thought First Nations had “zero influence and zero weight” too when he abruptly cancelled shared gas-tax agreements without giving notice, launched a vigorous court challenge to land title claims resulting in yesterday’s ruling that J.D. Irving and two other big forestry companies are excluded from such claims and enthusiastically pushed for an end to the moratorium on fracking https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/chiefs-respond-higgs-comment-fracking-natural-gas-1.6840162

And I’m wondering if NB Power and PROENERGY didn’t agree with you too when they claimed, without any evidence, that the Mi’kmaq were investors in their gas plant and actually favoured the Centre Village site.

You may be wrong about one thing though Billy Boy. It looks like First Nations do have a seat at the table — but then again, only if they support burning fossil fuels and extracting mineral resources. Ford has his Ring of Fire, Holt has her Sisson mine, while Carney and Smith are pushing their new pipeline.

Oh, Billy Boy. When it comes to the continued existence of settler colonialism in Canada, you are scratching an open sore.

Hope you're doing OK Bruce... you've done a lot to assist the "natives" here in N.B.

Why does long time Town staffer Ron Kelly Spurles use an "UNCEDED" sticker on his laptop?

Why does Town Councillor Alison Butcher refer to herself as a "settler"?

Educate, Illuminate, Elevate... Learning about UNDRIP in Canada in 2025 #NeilMacEachern #MountAllisonUniversity

At the local "Beausejour Forum 2025" with THE Indie Media Eastcoast [included the land acknowledgement spiel with moderator Carol Cooke who came from Ontario transplanted to Sackville New Brunswick] here:

Beausejour Forum - Dominic Leblanc, Alex Gagne, Donna Allen, Eddie Cornell

Polite request for Laura Landon [ shown on the left looking down in the photo above from THE Indie Media Eastcoast] who works at Mount Allison University's library next to her partner local reporter Bruce Wark [warktimes.com] and Erica Butler [who arrived from Halifax in 2020 with the Halifax Examiner gig to work at CHMA FM Mount Allison University radio] to please consider following and learning from Caroline Elliott in B.C. on the UNDRIP / U.N. land rights and natives issues taking place out West.  I would also ask all the Town Councillors and Mayor Andrew Black to do the same at this time:

Caroline Elliott on X: "BC gets more ridiculous every day: Okanagan Falls is the 1st town to incorporate since UNDRIP; this means Indigenous grps (not Mayor & Council) get to rename the town. Citizens don't want a rename, just 2% are First Nations & there are 0 Indigenous language speakers in OK Falls. https://t.co/sp3XoXlJCp" / X

I have asked our politicians locally to stop using the land acknowledgements in our Town Hall meetings and to understand why referring to themselves as "settlers" could be problematic.

Alison Butcher, town councillor, requested that I come in and make a presentation in the Town Hall but there isn't any need of that.. education takes time and attention to details and dedication.. I just would like to see more critical-thinkers and involved and engaged people in this sleepy little university town of followers.  That is all.  Greg Martin and Bruce Phinney - two other town councillors for Tantramar - were also advised about the concerns regarding the "unceded territory" commentary and declarations being made in our Town Hall.  Do the politicians understand their role in local government or do they only do what they are told to do instead of thinking for themselves?

Some things that are small details appear to be unimportant but are actually very key and "giving the land back" to natives should not be the goal of any one in this old town that was established in 1762... its just that simple.

Who was the King of England in 1762?

George III (George William Frederick; 4 June 1738 – 29 January 1820) was King of Great Britain and Ireland from 25 October 1760 until his death in 1820. The Acts of Union 1800 unified Great Britain and Ireland into the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, with George as its king. He was concurrently Duke and Prince-elector of Hanover in the Holy Roman Empire before becoming King of Hanover on 12 October 1814. He was the first monarch of the House of Hanover who was born in Great Britain, spoke English as his first language,[2] and never visited Hanover.[3] [ source:  wiki]

Maintain an optimistic point of view; it will help!

their sign appeared during the "coviet" scam era..

Cape Bretoner Neil MacEachern and I may not agree on these matters at all - Neil was solely responsible for my one year ban from campus in 2016 at campus Rev. John Perkin's request [Perkin has since retired from Mount Allison University and relocated to a church in Ottawa].  Rev. John Perkin stated to the gathered audience at "Pride October 2015" on campus in front of the Chapel that "we are all global citizens on unceded territory".

Interim Director of Athletics and Recreation, Mount Allison University

Thank you, Time to say “Good Bye”… It has been an honour over the last 6 years to have been entrusted by the University, and our University Community, as the Director of Facilities Management of this beautiful, historic and much respected institution located on unceded Mi’kmaq territory. My greatest joy, has been coming to work everyday to serve such a vibrant and committed group of facilities staff, supervisors and managers who accepted my imperfections, and appreciated, or at least tolerated, my Cape Breton sense of humour.😊 To my university colleagues, internal and external , our consultants and business partners, “thank you” for your support and advice during my tenure. To my amazing wife Mary and our family, I am so very blessed to have had your collective patience and love over the years. l am very excited, as together, we create our next chapter… ”It is not true that people stop pursuing dreams because they grow old, they grow old because they stop pursuing dreams” (G.Marquez). Let’s dream on my friends…"

So after all this time it seems that amazingly Neil MacEachern is still hangin' around campus and riding the lucrative Mount Allison University gravy train.. imagine that?

You never did return my phone call in 2016 Neil.. why is that?

Additional note I have no Facebook account but am always available on Twitter for engagement.. and I am concerned too many people rely on Facebook for their information.

Caroline Elliott on X: "The BC Supreme Court’s radical Cowichan decision threatens private property across BC.  It’s where the NDP’s land acknowledgements, embrace of UNDRIP, ‘uninvited guests’ language, undemocratic land use policies & problematic Haida title recognition were always going to lead. https://t.co/gvqDZUcTst" / X

Caroline Elliott on X: "A real pattern of secrecy. Beyond the land & financial transfers, the deal spells out undemocratic decision-making plans that amount to a clear veto (something the Minister misled the public about on the radio the other day). Gosh Golly - What Could Possibly Go Wrong With MTI Efforts ?

New Brunswick corporation / non-profit organization known as "MTI" has indeed commenced an attempt at a land claim that is being downplayed by certain "media" types as to what is actually going on with New Brunswick natives and lawyers and it is unfortunate. As I witnessed a local speak at the "All Candidates Forum for Beausejour" organized by Carol Cooke earlier this month [speaking as an unnamed member of nearby Fort Folly] and state that this land claim story was just Blaine Higgs fear-mongering talk -- but in truth there is a legal claim as noted in the CBC News [formerly Global News] reporter Silas Brown Tweet made last year and shown above..... as well there is a website and a Facebook page for "MTI" ... learn more here:  MTI - Mi'gmawe'l Tplu'taqnn Inc. | Facebook

Mi'kmaw First Nations expand Aboriginal title claim to include almost all of N.B. | CBC News

"Eight Mi'kmaw communities in New Brunswick represented by Mi'gmawe'l Tplu'taqnn Inc. "are formally asserting title to lands and waters in New Brunswick," according to a news release from MTI on Wednesday.

The group said the move is "another step in the process to reasserting jurisdiction over lands and waters within our territory. This is a step towards self-determination and full recognition of our rights."

The claim builds on a 2016 action by Elsipogtog First Nation, a Mi'kmaw community formerly called Big Cove.

The new claim represents the other eight Mi'kmaw communities in the province, explained Dean Vicaire, executive director for MTI. "

Tantramar Landowners Association : Ex-CBC journalist Bruce Wark on "Cougar" from the Hussars

Tantramar Landowners Association : Ex-CBC journalist Bruce Wark on "Cougar" from the ...: Thank you Bruce Wark.  Facebook  https://www.facebook.com/warktimes/  and congratulations on getting 200 likes on Facebook..

Outstanding questions and comments have yet to be published by Wark Times. He's actively suppressing discussions which must take place in this region or is something else going on.  I wouldn't put it past the technocrats around here to muzzle anyone.. that's their speciality.. controlling the acceptable narrative... So.... Where's Bruce Wark? Has anybody seen Bruce Wark lately?

Cornwallis statue is removed

Why did Cornwallis issue a proclamation for Indian scalps? Could it be because of a wave of vicious Mi'kmaq attacks & hooliganism, eight raids between 1749 and 1759 in which scores of settlers & soldiers were killed, more than 12 in one raid alone? Halifax city council & mayor under pressure from 'native community leaders' have removed statue January 31, 2018.

ID Canada issued a notice on this...
