Sackville's Top Priority Should Be An Elevator at Veterans Arena Ice Rink in Our Town

 

Good presentation made by Meghan Hicks this week for accessibility and safety.

Should cost be a consideration as the elevator should have been installed when the arena was originally built.. and it is and it always was a necessity.  

The addition is a no-brainer... 

Begs the question:  why has Matt Pryde, Parks & Rec. town hall employee made putting expensive and unnecessary chairs in the ice rink instead his priority?  Why not do a fundraiser selling seat pads to those who find the benches uncomfortable to remove the expense of buying $300 chairs?

Bruce Phinney and Barry Hicks explained that the cost was an issue and that's why it was not installed when it was built years ago.
