As much as we value democracy in Tantramar we don't embody its ideals here at all..

I have had my Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Vimeo, Spreaker accounts removed while doing the advocacy online that I do for the public.. I have to say that Megan Mitton and I could not be more far apart in our politics and my rights to speak freely here have not been respected while she has been continually boosted by the CBC and local reporters such as CHMA FM and Bruce Wark and Erica Butler [now with CBC].

You would have to understand communitarianism to understand why this has taken place since 2010 when I first arrived here to put down roots.

What I would say is this:  stand for something or you will fall for anything.

If you understood what Niki Raapana has described as the "dictatorship" of community it makes perfect sense.. those who understand this "ism" are rare.

MLA Megan Mitton certainly has a right to her opinions and to advocate here.. but so do I... and I refuse to participate in any way with their U.N.'s agenda to "dumb down" the general public in 2026.

and there's no vision, mission, or ambition for the growth of the region coming from Tantramar's Mayor Andrew Black.. why?

Tantramar Mayor Andrew Black says it’s “incredibly unacceptable” that the town was not informed or consulted before NB Power announced construction of a 500 megawatt, natural gas generating plant in Centre Village near Midgic.

“I can honestly say that neither myself and council through governance, nor the CAO and staff through operations, received any indication of this project before we all heard about it on the news,” Black writes in an e-mail to Warktimes.

“Yet again the municipality, as has happened often over the last couple of years, was not informed or communicated with about this project, its impact, and the public input which is a huge issue as seen through the obvious divisiveness of opinion of the residents of Tantramar,” he adds.

“Just like when the province decided to close a culvert wash-out on the way to Dorchester, closing the Wheaton covered Bridge, reducing the weight tonnage of the Peck’s Point Bridge, and the tearing down of the old Aulac tourism information centre, here we are again being surprised at a project that stands to have considerable impact on this community in many ways.”

The current philosophy that all people, who love liberty and value our Bill of Rights, must fight against is COMMUNITARIANISM. His name was Amitai Etzioni, also went by the name Werner Falk. This man's infamous legacy should be as widely known as we know the names, "Hitler", "Stalin", and "Mao". Amitai Etzioni, an Israeli-American sociologist, senior policy adviser, educator and father of the communitarianism philosophy, died May 31, 2023. He was 94.

Avoiding 'cult like' behaviour is the best way to stay healthy, well-adjusted, and happy in the world.

Cult like behaviour at the local university includes 'community masks' and before that it was those 'little orange square patches'.... Mount Allison University seems to specialize in creating these sorts of group behaviours -- its called social engineering programming and it really should be scrutinized more closely by all, especially the campus administration who seem to be lost for leadership at this point.

Critical thinking used to be valued but that's not the case today... obediance is valued; how unfortunate!

We want healthy, happy, well-adjusted and positive-minded young adults in this town... not borg minds but critical thinkers who question everything.
