Divest MTA - Ten Years On ....

"Divest MTA" activists are celebrating ten years of protesting and marches today but what is their message?  Erica Butler CHMA spoke with two of the anti-oil and gas student group members who are demonstrating at "Centennial Hall" and who have asked others to show their support by joining them occupying space there:

Commentary found at the Facebook Event page...

"Mount Allison University is a primarily undergraduate Canadian liberal arts and science university located in Sackville, New Brunswick. It has been ranked the top undergraduate university in the country for 18 of the last 25 years by Maclean's magazine. With a 17:1 student-to-faculty ratio, the average first-year class size is 65 and upper-year classes average 14 students.Mount Allison University was the first university in the British Empire to award a baccalaureate to a woman . Mount Allison graduates have been awarded a total of 53 Rhodes Scholarships. American chemist James B. Sumner, who later won Nobel Prize in Chemistry, used to work at Mount Allison as a teaching fellow. Mount Allison also has one of the largest endowments per student in Canada.HistoryMount Allison University is a United Church-affiliated, but non-sectarian university which was established at Sackville, New Brunswick on January 19, 1843. The university was named after Charles Frederick Allison, in honour of his gift of land and money. Its origins were steeped in the Methodist faith. It was designed to prepare men for the ministry and to supply education for lay members. The university was chartered on April 14, 1849.Mount Allison's origins however go back to a boys' academy founded in June 1839 by a local Methodist merchant, Charles Frederick Allison. Charles Allison's grandfather had emigrated from Ireland to Canada in the late 18th century because of the after effects of a dinner with the local government tax collector. Wanting to impress the man, the family had set the table with their one valuable possession: silver spoons. After entertaining their guest, the Allisons were informed by the tax collector that if they could afford silver spoons, then they could certainly afford to pay more taxes. The Allisons left Ireland shortly thereafter. The offending spoons are now on display in the university library." [ the spoons are historic, not offending... not sure why this passage reads this way or who wrote it ]

Reading is essential to your mental health and thinking critically

Confused about what activism is allowed?

Notice this sign has been modified to include doses of vaxx products from corporations who are benefitting from cv19 hysteria - mandated experimental vaxx is an abuse of human rights - why is no one opposed?  Why have the university administration been allowed to abuse the humans on campus?

Read up on communitarianism at this link:

Avoiding 'cult like' behaviour is the best way to stay healthy, well-adjusted, and happy in the world.

Cult like behaviour at the local university includes 'community masks' and before that it was those 'little orange square patches'.... Mount Allison University seems to specialize in creating these sorts of group behaviours -- its called social engineering programming and it really should be scrutinized more closely by all, especially the campus administration who seem to be lost for leadership at this point.

Critical thinking used to be valued but that's not the case today... obediance is valued; how unfortunate!

We want healthy, happy, well-adjusted and positive-minded young adults in this town... not borg minds but critical thinkers who question everything.

More noise from those who paint their posters with petroleum products and block people on their Twitter if they don't agree with their actions.

I have offered up buttons to help them get out of their cult of ignorance and start learning about interesting talks on energy, science and research going on at the Global Breakthrough Energy Movement - at this link... http://globalbem.com

I actually do want to see our society evolve...

The World Needs More Canada - CanadaAction.ca - Get Free Stickers.... and more for the passionate pushbackers

Dead-end-street on-campus cult known as "divest mta" welcomed and paid Naomi 'non-scientist' Klein to sell her books and to lecture 'em.
So in 2021, why not invite Alex Epstein author of "The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels" to speak now?! "What you don't know about energy can kill you"
|Listen to a recent interview with Alex Epstein and Sen. Malcolm Roberts in Australia:

In answer to the question of how important fossil fuels are to our life in Canada...  here's some books to help your education progress..

What about this:  they help you survive in the cold weather, move your products and food and build your economy, heat your homes, run your vehicles, snowplows, busses, create endless products that you happily use including your handy cell phones and laptops, and the boots for walking the snowy streets [while complaining about fossil fuels].

Be grateful and be real.  Meanwhile, at the university faculty lounges the well paid chattering class bash away at the 'bad guys in Canadian industries', just cos they can....

... propaganda hounds for 'divest' continue [comments closed off]:

Its a pity that these students who pay so much money to attend this campus have such bad advice given to them when they expect an 'enlightened' campus culture.  I suspect that youngsters Helen and Nick are in the minority of students.
Common sense about fossil fuels is a good thing.

"Divest Holds Protest During Open House" - The Argosy article by student Zoe Hunter

Article online by local student and news editor at "The Argosy"...
http://www.since1872.ca/active-sections/1-news/divest-holds-protest-during-open-house/  .. written by Mount Allison University student Zoe Hunter, who is the daughter of prosperous local entrepreneurs Dave Hunter and his Austrian wife of the locally-based "Karen Marine Phytoplankton" - a very lucrative company that relies on shipping its "food" product from Cadiz Spain to Canada for distribution..
Their Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/karenphytoplankton/

These superb and healthy food products [green powder] are packaged in materials made from fossil fuels.  Dad's company is doing very well and the family is becoming very rich from their capitalistic venture.  They initially had a sandwhich shop in town when Zoe was a little girl with her brothers growing up here and attending the local schools.  I have observed the family work hard as capitalists and attain financial success during my 10 years here.  I wonder if Dad Entrepreneur Dave perhaps needs now to have an unapologetic talk with the "Divest MTA" group about his company's shipping methods, products packaging and distribution and the usefulness of fossil fuels when it comes to his company's products and his success.

If any student writes an unbalanced article I will be critical of them here to highlight the deficient education that they are receiving on the campus.

Book recommendation for Zoe and others:
Alex Epstein - "The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels".

More here:

Indoctrinations against the beneficial uses of fossil fuels are wrong and abusive, not educational... its a largely an anti-capitalism and anti-white agenda being taught on campus by academics who contribute little to our society at this point and these students and/or families all pay a lot of money to be "dumbed down" by ill-informed and destructive professors.

Tweets from Divest minion - MTA 'graduate' ... Emma

I bet the Saudis love the Emma Jacksons of this nation .. this Australian student now 'organizing' in her home in Alberta. I don't use twitter but I can still witness the crazy from this one and like I say MTA is failing in its academic mission to provide a thorough, unbiased, and comprehensive education to its students. I don't care what Maclean's Magazine says as I can see the results.  For more exciting "social justice stuff" for all those "give the land back to the natives" Emma-types at this link:

Probably Just Stating the Obvious .. Cult of Divest MTA ..

Its hard not to notice that these youngsters have no sense of humour on top of being part of a cult .. that's the sorta stuff they have to tone down... I know they love their professors but c'mon... seriously... oil and gas industries are not the enemy... but I think I get the idea what the problem is now... " herd mentality " on campus.

My favourite group of sad misguided hiveminds, in fact 🙃

Stalkers of Sackville... "Graeme Thomas"

So you never know if these profiles are fake people with fake names... do you?
But suggesting you wanna come over to my house is a bad call GT .. I'd advise against it.. its a small town.. people talk.. you've shitposted a lot about me .. its not gone unnoticed.. but I have to wonder if your fascination with me is warranted.. I think not... I think you're bored, lonely and unproductive...... also, Sackville's strength is its beauty and natural setting.. people tend to be drawn to this place... eh?  As it is a university town you could come here and within the space of 7 or 8 years get a different 'degree' and understanding of what whackademia is up to..  I have .. I have also experienced a lot of exchanges with professors behaving badly.

Stalker Graeme Thomas  [ Divest MTA fan... need I say more? ]

for MAFA .. Pipelines Protesting Mount Allison University Students -- this is 'social justice' culture?

These toddlers have been misinformed, misguided, and miseducated about pipelines and its very sad to know this is what Canadian universities are producing and what our local social justice resident 'planned economy' #gibsmedat 'change agent' Julia Feltham at funded "Commons" is encouraging.
So unnecessary and so sad... our nation shouldn't be dependant on foreign oil.
Louis Sobol produced a video for "Divest MTA" called "Tide" here

I've encouraged them to find constructive projects to get involved with.

‪Why has "Divest MTA", David Suzuki, Liz May, Naomi Klein, Bradley Walters, Michael Fox, Megan Mitton, Julia Feltham, Tina Oh, Shannon Power, Lauren Latour, Tzeporah Berman or any other protestors been found to ever oppose foreign oil coming into Canada?‬  ‪All of our top suppliers have inferior rankings for renewables, clean tech, social progress and environmental innovation.   http://canadaaction.ca .. advocating for Canadians and their future.

Divest collectivism.. use discernment....

Annnnd they're back at it again...
"Divest MTA
31 mins
Divest MTA is back!
Yesterday we undertook our first action of the year — a message to new Mount Allison President Jean-Paul Boudreau that we’re serious about fossil fuel divestment, a morally and financially viable shift that must come sooner rather than later.
During a celebration to welcome the new President at the Purdy Crawford Centre, ten members of Divest MTA dispersed among the crowd and chatted with a variety of Mount Allison administrative higher-ups, including members of the Board of Regents Finance Committee, about the ethical imperative of fossil fuel divestment. Hundreds of pamphlets and orange square patches were distributed and many great conversations were had.

Organizers finally approached Dr. Jean-Paul Boudreau with a copy of the IPCC intergovernmental climate report. Our message to him was short and simple: “Welcome! You could be the President that helps Mount Allison divest— this report emphasizes need for structural change, and we hope you will work with us to make this happen here at MTA. Let's meet soon to further discuss.”
Unfortunately it was extremely difficult to get this short message across as organizers were interrupted at almost every word.
The President begged us, quite literally, not to bring politics into his family and community celebration. We responded by saying that climate change is a priority of our community and it is important to us that in celebrating community we fight for its future. He agreed to meet with us soon.
Divest MTA organizers are not fazed and ready to fight the power in 2018-2019!"
On the other side are the oil and gas supporters and promoters.. like me .. http://canadaaction.ca

What is this ... Naomi Klein?

Today in our current state this is what is going on in Canada .. "Divest MTA" and their orange patches to signal each other in 'solidarity' and promotion of 'decolonization' and 'divestment' from fossil fuels and 'indiginization' .. their buzzwords are disturbing .. they have no problem silencing people in this town who dare to support Canadian ethical oil & gas development?  Indoctrination.  Thanks Naomi Klein for being an indoctrinator. Not.  Stay in America.. we really don't need your non-scientific fear-mongering ass here in Canada. Naomi Klein is an 'agitator' and an enemy of Cdn prosperity.

When I joined Twitter I discovered that one of these students in the photo had "tagged" me to Naomi Klein and that I had been labelled a hyper-conservative neo-nazi.. this shows the level of respect youth in this town have for local elders.

Their student newspaper is just as biased and offensive.... they'd benefit from reading "Manipulism:  The Weapon of Guilt" by Danish author Mikkel Clair Nissen .. the ebook... as it is not the 'happiest nation on earth' as stated by Oprah.

The unbearable destructiveness of angry 'divest' movements across Canada

Perhaps its academians that are becoming a thing of the past Prof. Walters? Prof. Michael Fox, and anyone else calling themselves a 'climate leader' on campus...

This is just not good work.
There is no evidence to suggest that climate science is settled. None.

This 'divest' stuff is not grassroots.. its a deliberate attack from outside forces on our Cdn industries and workers and companies.. it needs to stop.

The notion that we need to 'get off fossil fuels' is simply absurd.
Wellness and health and prosperity are important to all.

We should be supporting ethical Canadian industries.. not attacking them.

Fossil fuels have - in truth - improved the lives of millions on the planet earth.
Are students being taught to attack Canadian industry on our campuses? I think so.

Students who support 'divest' movement and protest and demand the end of the use of fossil fuels are completely lost in my opinion... its a tragic miseducation..

Its a good idea to give students information that will benefit them.. not dumb them down.. we don't need unenlightened, angry students being produced in fact we need intelligent, critical thinking and motivated young minds to work with creation and improve humanity and we're not getting that from our current campuses.
