The current philosophy that all people, who love liberty and value our Bill of Rights, must fight against is COMMUNITARIANISM. This is the synthesis to the communism vs capitalism dialectic promoted in our society in previous generations, and it is being promoted under the guise of "community" and openly calls us to reframe the idea of valuing individual liberty as a "selfish desire" or egocentric and replace selfish individual liberty with living our lives for only the good of the community, above all else.
It is a very attractive philosophy for authoritarians and their minions, however it is deceptive, and it is inspiring policies that undermine our very ability to be in charge of our own destined paths and find solutions to our problems that respect individual liberty and voluntary cooperation.
The battle for freedom for the individual is as old as tyrants have lived on this planet. This communitarian philosophy can only gain a foothold when the majority of people find the responsibility of remaining free is too burdensome to bear.
This is the Father of Communitarianism. His name was Amitai Etzioni, also went by the name Werner Falk. This man's infamous legacy should be as widely known as we know the names, "Hitler", "Stalin", and "Mao". Thanks to Niki Raapana and her daughter Nordica Friedrich, who told us in her book "2020, Our Common Destiny and the Anti-Communitarian Manifesto", we know his name and the plan the communitarian zealots have for our future (More on Niki and Nordica in future posts):
Amitai Etzioni, an Israeli-American sociologist, senior policy adviser, educator and father of the communitarianism philosophy, died May 31, 2023. He was 94.
Etzioni is survived by his wife, Patricia Kellogg, his sons David, Oren, Ethan and Benjamin, his stepson Cliff, his stepdaughter Tamara, 11 grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
