My apologies but a series of weekly videos on the development and building of "The York" were lost when Youtube decided to delete the account in March 2026 for no reason... it happens.. its the 5th account Youtube has removed..

there is a video at the Odysee channel made 12/30/2025 here:

As I was filming the video above a lady stopped to talk to me and said that she was concerned that the building was being built for foreigners... just the messenger folks.. just sayin.

Of note approximately 17 progress videos shot throughout the building process in 2025 & 2026
have now been lost/deleted due to censorship
on Youtube of THE Indie Media Eastcoast
and these videos were blogged here..
FYI.. you have to ask why there is so much
censorship of one content creator in this town.

Some videos are backed up at Odysee:

Statement on Residential Schools and Day Schools - Law Society of New Brunswick

Photography above by THE Indie Media Eastcoast

"The Law Society was officially created in 1846. The Provincial Legislative Assembly adopted Chapter 48 of the Provincial Statutes which in effect incorporated what was then called the "Barristers' Society" for the "purpose of securing in the Province a learned and honourable legal profession, for establishing order and good conduct among its members and for promoting knowledgeable development and reform of the law".

While the name of the organisation has changed and is now the Law Society of New Brunswick, its original mandate has remained essentially the same.

It is important to note that the Law Society is an independent body, which has as its primary responsibility the protection of the public in the administration of justice.

The Consolidated Law Society Act, 1996 sets out clearly the objects and duties of the Society.

They are as follows:

(a) to uphold and protect the public interest in the administration of justice,

(b) to preserve and protect the rights and freedoms of all persons,

(c) to ensure independence, integrity and honor of its members,

(d) to establish standards of education, professional responsibility and competence of its members and applicants to membership, and

(e) to regulate the legal profession.

To accomplish the above, the Society has established rules, committees and procedures, details of which appear under the section Regulation. You can also go to our FAQ or conduct a search for the information you seek.

The York - Lafford Properties - Sackville New Brunswick

At this link:  Lafford

Sackville, NB — July 3, 2025 – Lafford Properties is proud to announce two major residential milestones in Sackville:

  1. Lafford Place, located at 133 Main Street, has officially opened this month, offering 71 high-quality units. Leasing has moved swiftly — most units are already spoken for, and the first wave of tenants moved in over the past weekend.
  2. Groundbreaking has commenced on “The York”, marking the beginning of construction on approximately 100 additional units, a strategic expansion designed to meet growing demand in the community.

We invite you to watch our two highlight videos capturing the excitement:

John Lafford reflects: “Launching Lafford Place and welcoming our first tenants has been incredibly rewarding. The momentum is inspiring—now with The York underway, we're bringing new, thoughtfully designed housing to Sackville.”

Over on Main Street...

John Lafford's mid-rise apartment building is nearing completion.... there's no news yet on the name of his newest building of 71 rental units spread over six storeys with ground level parking located behind the old heritage home at 131 Main Street. Lafford on Facebook:  Lafford PM | Sackville NB | Facebook

I suggest the building be named "The Heidi" to honour John's late wife and mother of his four daughters who sadly passed away in 2023.  Builder John Lafford also has an impressive three tower build now under construction in phases located at 33 Foundry Street, in Moncton, New Brunswick called "The Three Sisters" at this link:

Three Sisters by Lafford Properties | Apartments in Moncton, NB

The new project that's on the go will create 80-90 rental units which we know will be rented out before this project even completes as demand is so high in Sackville New Brunswick for rental units.
