Tori Weldon Running for Town Councillor - Candidate for Ward 3 - Tantramar Election May 11th, 2026

Follow Tori Weldon on her X account..

ToriWeldon on X: "Looking for a new podcast? I'm hosting a new one called Speed to Modern Tech. This episode looks at: How AI is being used to combat the counterfeit boom. @pacificcontent, @safastories @hintonburg @annierueter1 https://t.co/t2iBZ9XBZV" / X

... not all our local politicians are accountable to the public and even bother to use this social media platform but maybe its time that they should.. not everyone is using Facebook as it turns out.

Think:  radical collaborations.

More here on Tori Weldon and the other election candidates at Bruce Wark's local website article this week:

Three-way race for mayor in Tantramar as 18 candidates seek council seats with one acclamation |

"Tori Weldon

“I’m a journalist, communications professional and small business owner who has spent years covering municipal governments in New Brunswick,” Ward 3 candidate Tori Weldon writes in her e-mail to Warktimes.

“As a former reporter, I’ve spent many hours in municipal council meetings. I know my way around a budget, what a functioning council looks like, and I’ve seen what happens when problems are left to fester,” she adds.

“I’m running for council because I have the experience with municipal politics to hit the ground running. My youngest kids are in high school and I’m at a point in my career where I have time to dedicate to the community,” Weldon writes.

“I’m not claiming to have all the answers but I know the right questions to ask, I know where to look for good information, and I understand the importance of being honest with people about what our options are.”

She says she currently runs The Weldon Agency, a podcast production and consulting business that works with companies such as RBC, Morgan Stanley and Dell Technologies."

“I’ve lived in Tantramar most of my life, my family is from here,  I’m raising my kids here. I’ve watched Tantramar change, and I care deeply about where it’s headed,” she writes.

“I also know firsthand how frustrating it is when institutions go quiet. The public deserves to know everything that can be shared, promptly and clearly. If elected, I’ll do everything in my power to keep the people of Tantramar informed.  They deserve to have their concerns and questions heard and taken seriously.”

Regular Council Meeting - August 9, 2022 - Town of Sackville [ sackville.com ] -- Councillors Butcher and Hicks Absent

Just a few covered up and still living in fear....

Mike Tower muzzled...

Bill Evans muzzled...

Our new "Town of Tantramar" that is forming will have a population of 9,019 according to Jamie Burke CAO who also indicated that the town's lawyers are Stewart McKelvey - a big 'progressive' firm. After already having had Pride Month in town this year we will also now have Pride Week with a parade etc. when the university students are back in the autumn.. discussions of the priority of painting the rainbow crosswalks seems to occupy the minds of town councillors and stuff but there are zero discussions on the youth skate park project -- we see 'progressives' as having different priorities from those of ordinary citizens - I have no idea why this great concrete skatepark project has been ignored over the past decade that it has been advocated for when it would be such a positive addition for the region of Tantramar.. perhaps the next Mayor and councillors and CAO and staff will work together to make this project an important youth venue their priority... the elections are coming up for the new "Town of Tantramar".

Shit Communitarians Do ...

Retired from a job at Mount Allison University - Town Councillor Bill Evans couldn't care less about helping the town get a great skatepark project built here for the locals, the university students and youth - I know because he's been actively ignoring me and this design idea since 2013 when our youth organized and presented their idea for a great concrete skate park build before mayor and council.  Something amazing could happen here with the help of good people.

But Bill seems to think he knows best .. here we see him meddling again as he works to build his "network of snoops" all under the guise of being a 'good neighbour' .. ha!  I've seen the little petty clique-y online facebook page "Sackville Community Concerns" - its just a small minded gossipy forum which is now marked 'private' from the public .. what a waste of energy Bill.. how about doing something 'concrete' with your retired boomer status? How about helping to build youth culture instead of "snitches in the 'hood" & calling it a 'community' group?

Town Councillor's Facebook Page - Shawn Mesheau, Sackville.com

" Councillor Shawn Mesheau "  <<<---- Facebook page link

Get in touch with Shawn on his Facebook page with questions or suggestions..

Unfortunately the Mayor Higham doesn't have a page to interract with the public.. he deleted it as soon as he was elected in 2016.

Seasoned councillor Shawn does... so I wonder if he will run for Mayor in 2020 .. he appears to have an strong desire to be accountable and an interest in interracting with the voting public.. that's a good thing.

Thanks Shawn.

I was just listening to a long interview with Bernie Sanders with a friend and we both agree that even he, the most left, of all candidates, can ‘t deal with gun control. Hopeless.
